In agricultural machinery maintenance, some parts are not limited by the structure, and a slight mistake during assembly can cause them to be installed backwards, leaving potential fault hazards for the agricultural machinery. Proper assembly of agricultural machinery parts can not only improve the efficiency of the machinery, but also effectively eliminate faults. Here are some assembly techniques for the main components:
Cylinder gasket. For those with oil holes, they must be aligned with the corresponding oil passage holes on the engine block and cylinder head to avoid friction caused by oil breakage in the valve mechanism on the cylinder head. The material of the cylinder head determines that there is no oil passage hole and both sides have the same shape. For aluminum alloy cylinder heads, the curled edge of the cylinder head should face the cylinder body; For cast iron cylinder heads, the curled edge of the cylinder head should face the cylinder head.
Pistons and piston rings. Pistons with upward arrows or other markings on the top should be installed in the direction specified by the markings; If there is no marking, the small gap next to the piston top vortex pit or pit should be oriented towards the injector side to ensure uniform gas mixing. When assembling piston rings, if there are markings such as "up" or "UP" on the top, they should face upwards; The top unmarked twisted ring should have its inner circular groove or chamfer facing downwards; The chrome plated ring (with a shiny outer shell) should be installed in the groove of the piston ring, and the openings of each ring should be staggered by 120-180 degrees to ensure its sealing effect.
Connecting rod and connecting rod cap. The connecting rod of a horizontal diesel engine is divided at a 45 degree angle, and the section should face downwards to improve the stress situation of the connecting rod bolts. The connecting rod cap and connecting rod are machined in pairs, and the matching marks should be on the same side during assembly to ensure that the roundness and cylindricity of the connecting rod bearings meet the specified requirements.
Main bearing cover, bearing shell, and lining. The main bearing cover and the bearing seat of the machine body are both machined by pairing boring, and should be seated according to the pairing mark. They should not be exchanged or changed in assembly direction at will to avoid damaging the coaxiality and dimensional accuracy of the main bearing seat hole. For bearings or bushings with oil holes, the corresponding oil passage holes on the bearing seat and bushing holes should be aligned to ensure smooth oil flow.
Drive shaft and drive chain. The transmission forks at both ends of the transmission shaft should be in the same plane to avoid torsional vibration and damage to the transmission components. If the transmission chain adopts a spring clip, its open end should be oriented opposite to the direction of chain movement to prevent it from falling off due to collision during movement.
Drive wheel. If the driving wheel is marked with an upward arrow, it should point in the direction of tire rotation when moving forward; Unmarked, when looking at the driving wheels from behind the locomotive, the "eight" or "human" shaped pattern should face upwards.
Cylinder head bolts. If one end of the bolt has a coarse thread and the other end has a fine thread, the coarse thread end should be screwed into the body; If the two ends of the bolt are fine teeth, the shorter end should be screwed into the body to ensure that the cylinder head can be tightened.
Oil pump and fuel injection pump. The oil pump adopts a planetary rotor type, and the outer rotor should be chamfered towards the pump body to prevent the oil from circulating inside the pump and reducing the pump oil pressure. The crescent shaped positioning groove on the fuel injector shaft plug should be aligned with the positioning hole on the pump body, and the mark (or return groove) on the plunger should be installed facing upwards to avoid fuel failure or diesel engine "runaway".
